These Terms of Service govern the use of the LayPic website and web application at https://laypic.com (the “Service”), operated by Thomas Harnisch, Königskinderweg 74f, 22457 Hamburg, Germany.
By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
LayPic is a free web-based photo collage generator. The Service allows users to create photo collages directly in their web browser. All image processing happens locally on the user’s device — no photos are uploaded to our servers.
The Service is provided free of charge. There is no obligation to register or create an account. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without prior notice.
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You are solely responsible for the images you process using the Service. You must not use the Service to process images that:
The LayPic name, logo, design, and source code are the intellectual property of the operator. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute any part of the Service without prior written permission.
You retain all rights to the photos and collages you create using the Service.
All photos are processed entirely in your web browser using client-side technologies (HTML5 Canvas, JavaScript). No images are transmitted to our servers. We have no access to your photos at any time.
LayPic provides a free WordPress plugin that embeds a widget linking to the Service. The plugin generates a link to laypic.com with configuration parameters (collage format, layout, colors) and the referring page URL as URL parameters. No personal data is collected or transmitted by the plugin itself.
The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the Service. This includes, but is not limited to, loss of data or loss of profits.
This limitation does not apply in cases of intentional misconduct or gross negligence.
The Service uses open-source JavaScript libraries (including Fabric.js and jsPDF) that are hosted locally on our server. No data is transmitted to third-party CDN services.
We reserve the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting on this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. The place of jurisdiction is Hamburg, Germany.
